Please read these instructions carefully to ensure you have the best experience possible with your Heat Healer Infrared Sauna Blanket.
Make sure to also thoroughly read our health and safety precautions here, and do not use the Heat Healer without medical advice first, if you have any pre-existing health conditions.
Part One: Where to use your sauna blanket
IMPORTANT: Only ever use the Heat Healer on a flat surface. Do not use your Heat Healer on a recliner or other such surface where there might be a risk of the blanket getting crimped, twisted or wedged between cushions, other materials or moving parts.
Part Two: Pre-heating your sauna blanket
Important: You should always keep a barrier between your body and direct contact with the blanket.
This means placing a towel down on top of the jade & tourmaline stone, as well as wearing loose fitting cotton clothes (or if you have purchased our specially designed sauna blanket insert, you can just use that).
Part Three: Preparing your body for your sauna session
It is important that you take your time and put your body into a good state of being in order to maximise the benefits of your Heat Healer.
Whilst your blanket is pre-heating, we recommend:
Part Four: Entering the sauna blanket
Part Five: Trapping in the heat at the shoulders
Part Six: Making adjustments to your set up
You should experiment with your set up and your routine to ensure you are the most comfortable and having the best experience.
This can include:
Part Seven: Clean up and pack away
Will I sweat during my sauna session and how long does it take?
It is important to understand that everyone sweats differently. Some people will sweat quickly, whilst for others it will take longer.
If you find you are not sweating as much as you would like to, try increasing the amount of time you spend pre-heating the blanket, have a warm shower before your sauna session and be sure to keep a large towel draped over your shoulders in order to trap in the heat.
Even in the absence of sweat, your body is still benefiting from the infrared heat, as it will be relaxing your muscles, reducing inflammation, improving blood flow, releasing heat shock proteins and benefiting your skin.
What temperature does each level on the controller correspond to?
The maximum temperature is Level 9 (80c / 176f).
Only use the maximum temperature setting if you are used to using the Heat Healer and are comfortable with it getting hot.
At level 9, the surface of the materials will reach 140f (60c) when measured with an infrared thermometer and an overall temperature effect of 176f (80c) will be felt when a person is inside the blanket, with heat coming from both the top and the bottom.
Infrared sauna is a different experience than traditional dry Finish sauna.
A traditional dry sauna will heat the air around you and you will immediately feel it as you enter the sauna. With infrared sauna (like the Heat Healer) your body is being warmed directly and this is a more gradual process.
For most people, the first 30-minutes will feel warm and snug, whilst in the second 30-minutes things will start to feel more intense.
Use the opportunity to relax. Switch off from distractions like scrolling through your phone or watching TV.
Try to just lay still and focus on yourself. Some suggestions on what to do during use of the Heat Healer are:
